I'll just jump right into everything because there was so much that happened. So this week was pretty much like the week of the 4th of July here in Taylor and Snowflake. On Saturday everyone was having their big 4th of July meals. We were invited to like 5 different meals and we felt bad turning so many down, because they all wanted to have us. I'm pretty sure I've gained like 5lbs haha. Sister Johnson (from the Philippines) was the sweetest and made a bunch of Filipino food for me. It was seriously so good!! We also were able to watch the rodeo fireworks right outside our house which was pretty awesome. This week on Tuesday we were able to teach Tonya and her 6 kids again. We haven't really been able to teach any of the lessons to her yet because we always felt it was the wrong time or her kids were too crazy (they are all under the age of 6). This time we went ahead with teaching the Restoration. What was so cool to me was that even with all the craziness around us, she was zoned in on us and was trying to take in everything we were saying. It was my first time getting the chance to quote the first vision, and introduce Joseph Smith. It's crazy the power that those words carry. As the words came out, the spirit pretty much bulldozed me! It reaffirmed and retestified to me that Joseph Smith really was a true prophet called of God. I love how every time the first vision is shared in his words how undeniable the spirit is. We also were able to visit Lucky again this week. The last time we were able to visit was forever ago when she got a priesthood blessing. Over that time she was able to watch Ephraim's Rescue, she loved the movie and when we showed up, she had a whole page of questions written down. We went in that direction and it turned out to be one of the best lessons we have ever had. She had so many good questions about the priesthood, Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon. It was so cool to see so many things connecting together in her head. We all were about ready to scream with excitement, because by the end she looked at us and said, "I'm ready to read the book now." She also sent us the sweetest text later that night and told us she was coming to church. I can't even describe the joy I feel when others progress and start to come to know it is true. Oh there were so many other awesome things that happened last week, but I'll just share one more.... We headed over to go visit an inactive woman and her three daughters. We pulled up and all agreed what video clip we wanted to share with them. As sister Stuart went to pull up the video, it had for some reason gotten unloaded and Sister Richards forgot her tablet in the car. As Sister Stuart scrolled through to find a back up plan the only video that hadn't been unloaded was called Courage. We went ahead and played it. By the end she was in tears. Heavenly Father knows us, and He knew exactly what that woman needed to hear at that exact time and He made sure it happened. ;) I love this Gospel with all my heart and know it is true! Have a wonderful 4th of July week! Love You!
