Kamusta sa inyo tanan! Sorry I don't have much time, transfers are crazy! This week I couldn't stop smiling it was just that good. The only thing bad about the week was that this transfer has come to an end and Sister Schenk will no longer be my kaupod. I thank my lucky stars I at least got one transfer with her. We have given it our all and have seen so many miracles! Monday on Christmas Eve we slept over at the Old Sagay Sister's house and had an awesome Christmas there! We opened gifts and had scones, it was a blast. Christmas day, we went to District Council, which was just FHE. We had a lesson, and then played games and exchanged gifts. Then we went to lunch, bought gifts, and went to the Hospital. We sang to sick kids and then gave them gifts. We met with a 65 year old guy named Ramon this week. His wife was a less active member and she just died last week, so the members told us to try and talk to him. It was her funeral that we went to and were supposed to speak at but because we couldn't find there house on the mountain side and ended up showing up late, bishop took over. We went over and because of the recent passing of his sweet wife. He is so willing and prepared to learn more. We taught him about the Plan of Salvation, and where his wife is right now. As we were teaching he broke down in tears. He wants to be baptized so that he can go to the Celestial kingdom with her. Saturday John, Jenifer, Syrine, and Rodjean were baptized! AHHH! Seriously the happiest day ever. They were glowing and all so happy. They are so so strong. Everything went perfect besides the drama of not having a small enough jump suit but with a few ghetto alterations, Sister Schenk and I got it to fit her. Sunday was the worst, because there was just a huge flood of tears in Sagay! Now I'm in Sagay with a new companion named Sister Ellis from Highland, Utah. I can already tell I'm going to love her! Palangga ko kamo!! Until next week! Sister Adams RAIN My MTC batch, minus Elder McNiven.

We got to talk with Emily for 40 min. on our Christmas, & her day after Christmas. Quite a change from getting to talk to Zach for 2 hours. Even though it wasn't long, it is such a blessing that we got to see, hear, and talk to her. She also bore her testimony in Illongo before she said goodbye to us. She especially loves the food, and the people!!! She has been eating alot of goat, and says it tastes like chicken, and rice is served with everything.
Merry CHRISTmas! I feel like I say this every week but this week was AMAZING. This has been the most different Christmas ever, but I love it. Monday was the day we nearly died... laughing so hard. It was P-day so Sis Schenk and I were hanging out at the house, and we hear Joy, a ward missionary yelling, "Tagbalay" outside of our fence. We told her to magsulod and she starts telling us this story of how she couldn't sleep last night because of what we told her. The day before we told Joy we wanted to give a Toko (a huge, fat, foot long lizard) to one of the Elders for Christmas because for district council we drew names for a gift exchange. She said on her way home that night she thought to herself "well, I have a Toko in my house..." So she said she stayed up all night trying to catch it. She starts telling us all the details and we're just giggling, when all the sudden she just whips out of her back this huge plastic bottle with A LIVE HUGE LIZARD IN IT. We both immediately dropped to the floor laughing so hard. We were both in tears. We were like, "Joy what are we suppose to do with this for the next 10 days?!" She said it would be fine because she had taped the lid onto it so it couldn't get out. She also named the toko Schadams. We put it on a shelf and Sister Schenk and I went to "Light's On" here in Sagay! We have a cute little Plaza here that they went all out decorating in lights! We went there to go meet and OYM (talk to new people) because no joke the whole town was there. The funniest part was that we had people coming to us. We felt like celebrities because people were seriously lining up to take pictures with us and then we would give them a pamphlet or a pass along card. It was great. Tuesday was my birthday I'm officially an old lola. Thank you so much for all the birthday wishes. Everyone was so sweet and thoughtful on my birthday. We had district council that morning and decided it was better to give the present 1 week early, than having to watch a lizard slowly die. So we rolled up P400 (money) shoved them through the breathing hole, wrapped it up and headed to the church. During District council, no one had a clue that there was an EVIL lizard just sitting there... After Council was over I said I had my gift early for Elder Esplin and we handed him the package. He pulled out the tub thing and just starting yelling, "NOOO NOOO NOOO WAY!!!!" Sister Dapena immediately starting screaming, running, and crying. Elder Esplin said it was the best gift we could have given him since it had P400 in it. We've now gained the respect of many people. haha. We then went to lunch with the Zone where they surprised me with cake and the best chicken and rice. Don't worry we also brought Schadams with us. Once the Elders got home, they released Schadams (we don't know how because she is so vicious) and she is now living outside of their house. The entire rest of the day was eating appointments of people wanting to feed us on my birthday. At one point I actually thought I was going to cry because I was so full, and mostly because of how selfless and giving these beautiful people are. That's something really cool about the Philippines. Even if the people have nothing, they want to show their love to you by giving you food, sometimes even if that's all they have. Wednesday was Zone Conference we traveled to Cadiz and learned lots. Then we had a three zone combined Christmas Devotional. Sister And President Sumagpao spoke and then We played games and each zone sang. Our Zone, Sagay Zone sang a translated version of Mary did you Know? Missionaries translated it and it is SO GOOD! President Sumagpao was singing the song the rest of the day. We got gifts and then we headed home. On the Bus ride Elder Johnson stood up and taught all the people on the bus about the true meaning of the Christmas season and then we gave everyone on the bus Light The World Pass along cards. I wish you could see my planner for Thursday, it was crazy! We had studies, and did Finding (OYM) to start the day. It rained ALL day and it didn't stop all day long so we were freezing and soaked to the bone all day. We actually wore jackets because we were so cold! Ano ang?! We met with Barbie that night and taught her about the 10 commandments. I don't know how I can love one human being so much. Then we met with Angel and taught her and her fam CPR(Church, pray, read) with this really cool cup object lesson. Then we went back to the Plaza and did some more OYM. Friday we saw a bunch of people including Barbie again just to make sure she was good to go for her baptism, she even had a referral for us, she's already a great little missionary! We taught John, Jenifer, Syrine, and Rodjean about Tithing and Fast Offerings. They are so excited to be baptized, and have callings, and do everything they can to help the church. Saturday we couldn't stop smiling from ear to ear. We went to the church bright and early at 8:30, filled the font and set up the chairs. Soon enough, Barbie was there. It was just her and her good friend. She couldn't even sleep the night before she was so excited. She even walked over a mile to the church herself rather than waiting for her aunt and uncle to give her a ride on their motorcycle. We took pictures and started. Tapos she was glowing. I felt like my heart was about to leap out of my chest. I was so happy for her and she was so happy too. She bore her testimony. It was short and simple but powerful. I love her so much. After the baptism we visited some people and then later that afternoon we headed back to the church for a devotional and a ward Christmas Party. The Stake President and the Bishop spoke at the devotional and then we moved to the gym for the party. The ward went all out decorating and had SO. MUCH. FOOD. They sure do love to eat. John, Jenifer, Syrine, and Rodjean came. They were fellowshiped immediately and were welcomed with open arms and it made us so happy to see that once we leave, the ward will be there for them. That night they had their baptism Interviews. They all passed and when Jenifer came out she was beaming smiling ear to ear and said "I'm just so happy right now, with everything." Sunday we had church and then Sister Schenk and I visited several people singing them Christmas songs and giving them homemade No Bake cookies. It was so touching to see them have tears in their eyes after receiving something so small. Just getting a gift from someone else was huge to them. That night we visited The Francisco's, Ann, and Jerry where we sang and taught them about the true meaning of Christmas. I love what I'm doing and love that I have the chance to teach about the greatest gift of all, our Savior Jesus Christ everyday! I want to end this week's letter with a quote we found in the Ensign from Elder Uchtdorf, "You may feel your life is in ruins. But just as the Good Shepherd finds His lost sheep, if you will only lift up your heart to the Savior of the world, He will find you. He will rescue you. He will lift you up and place you on his shoulders. He will carry you HOME."
I love you all! Merry Christmas! Sister Adams SAGAY Week 4 12/16/2018 Maayong Hapon! It has been another grabe week diri sa Sagay. Sister Schenk and I have been working so hard, and everyday is an adventure. Pero (on the other hand), we're so sad because there are only 2 weeks left of the transfer and then Sister Schenk will probably be moved. I'm not so sure how I feel about leading the area. Hadlock gid ako. Monday siempre, was Pday. Sister Schenk and I were bored, so we got crafty, please look at the pics. Mom I hope you're proud. Hahah. That night we went to the balay ni John and Jenifer. They fed us bananas, bread with sweetened condensed milk, and mineral water, in our brand new cups. lol. We taught about the Law of Chastity, and the temple. It was nami. They are so ready. John kept saying over and over how he will never miss church because he knows that he needs to be spiritually fed every week. As we talked about the Temple, they got SO excited, and they kept saying, "Sisters! We want to go! When can we go there?!!" Then John got really quiet. We asked him what was wrong, and he said they can't get married there because he isn't divorced from his first wife. Divorce here in the Philippines is next to impossible. It's a really long, hard and crazy expensive process. So after people get married and want to split up, that's all they can do. Pero, If they have lived together for more than 5 years and plan on being together forever, they can get baptized. Only because there really is nothing else they can do. John and Jenifer can get baptized they just can't get sealed until they have a divorce, or John's Ex dies. Please pray for them. Their Baptism is Dec 29. Tuesday we had district council. After council, we drew names for Christmas gifts. After council we saw Jerry, a recent convert. We have started to teach his sister, JudyAnn, she's 13. That night, we taught the Berden fam about CPR, church, pray, read, it was awesome, and they committed to come to church next Sunday!!! At the lesson they showed us that they had stalked our mom's fb accounts and had the most funny throwback pictures ever of us. hahah. We had dinner with the Dizon's again, but this time they gave us chicken adobo, pork adobo, rice, soda, donuts, ta-ho, and veggies. Once again we were served WAY. TOO. MUCH. On the way home I may or may not have almost been in tears once again. When we got home we both collapsed to the floor, exhausted and stuffed. We slept really good that night despite all the dogs barking, the heat, and the lizards chirping in our house. Haha that's the Philippines life in a nutshell. The next day We saw Maravik. She is a little missionary herself. When we visited we found out that she had given the pamphlet to her daughter in law, Enday, who had read the whole thing and then shared it with her neighbors and husband, Who are now all being taught as well. Seriously so cool. She said she loved the story of Joseph Smith. We taught about the Restoration and they all loved it. Then we went to this super layot (far) place called mataki. Apparently missionaries haven't gone there in over 8 years so it was much needed. We found 6 super solid new people to teach! Koolie, Nonoy, Judy, Jude, Willie, and Rapila. Then we triked and hiked to Cabalawan and taught cute cute Barbie! She is the best! She is so excited to be baptized on December 22! That same night once we got home, we got a call from a very worried Elder Delicana, our district leader. He said the new rule for baptism is that a child cannot be baptized when their parents are not members. So he called to tell us that Barbie can't be baptized. Man did we fight that one. Barbie is so prepared, ready and has such a desire to be baptized even before she met us and learned more. We told him then called the zone leaders and told them how strong she is. We told them her next-door neighbors which are her aunt and uncle (President Villaneweva in the Stake Presidency) are strong, members and she has her parents support. We convinced them to talk to President Sumagpao. That was a long night and a long next morning. Around 10:30 am the next morning we got a call saying she could be baptized only if her uncle and aunt promise to become her church guardians and help her and support her. YAY!!! That night we saw her aunt and uncle and told them what had happened, and how they had to promise to help her. They cried, and were so happy. Wednesday we did lots of finding and lessons. We've been working with like 15 little girls in one area. They are super cute and come running for us whenever we are in the area. They love when we share with them. We talked about Prophets and they taught us a song about Noah in Ilonggo, while they played with my hair. People here seem to always be touching my blonde hair. Afterwards, Sister Schenk noticed some of the little girls picking stuff out of each others hair. Sister Schenk and I are just a little freaked out that we may have lice now. Palagpat. Not only that, but while we were with them I biffed it hard. May I add, that it rained, a lot, and it was super muddy. I was covered. So the mga bata (kids) all grabbed me and led me to this well where I could clean up. Joy, the member who works with us a lot, Sister Schenk and I were DYING. ahahahhaa! 7:30 Wednesday night we got like 50000 texts from members asking where we were and told us to come to a funeral of a member, so we had to sprint there. People here are super bad at giving directions so we had no idea where we were going. It was so different then what I'm used to as far as funerals go. Apparently they wanted us to speak but because we were late Bishop took over. We were both grateful because we would have had no clue what to share in the moment. Friday was supposed to be a normal work day but then we got a text from the STL's who wanted to do exchanges. We hopped on a bus to Cadiez. Sister Schenk stayed there and Sister Kefu and I rode all the way back to Sagay again. Sister Kefu is from Australia and finishes her mission in a couple weeks. It was really good and she helped me to gain more confidence in my language skills. Even though it was only a day and a half I missed Sister Schenk so much! Please pray for us when we are no longer together ahahhaha.
Last night was the longest night ever. 20 minutes into sleeping there was a Brown out where the power shuts off, so there went our precious fans. We were drenched in sweat and were in and out of sleep for the next 4 hours until it came on again because it was so init gid .hahah palagpat sa amon. Sunday Barbie, John, Jenifer, Syrine and Rogiene came to church. I spoke on Acts of Kindness in Sacrament meeting. I centered my talk on Jesus Christ. Even though it looks nothing like what my Christmas usually looks like, I'm so grateful for this season to really remember our Savior and be more like him. We were also able to watch the First Presidency Christmas Devotional and it was so good! I loved what President Nelson said about the 4 Gifts we can receive from Jesus Christ. 1) An unlimited capacity to love 2) The ability to forgive 3) Repentance 4) The promise of Life Everlasting These things will bring us unspeakable joy. His Atonement is what allows all His other gifts to be ours. I'm so beyond grateful for our Savior and Redeemer, Jesus Christ. I know he lives and stands ready with arms outreached, ready to save us from all our sorrows of this life. I could not do this without him. I take comfort in His promise that "Whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it." Go light the world, and make room in your heart for Him. Love you all and Merry Christmas! Elder Esplin's mom posted this. It is a treat to get pictures midweek!
Sagay District. Picture taken December 11th. My Elder is on the far right with the mosquito bites all over his face. I keep staring at this picture. I’m missing my son this week but the beautiful smiles emanating from the faces of each of these faithful missionaries who are sweetly taking care of one another while far from home is providing great comfort to our family. They are truly Lighting the World! Blessings to all families with missionaries out serving. I hope your Christmas calls are GLORIOUS! Well another week has come and gone. This week really seemed to fly by. I'm living the dream with the best companion on Earth! Tuesday was one of those days where nothing goes as planned, actually that's how our entire week went. Most of our appointments fell through all morning, and into the afternoon. It's funny how sometimes Heavenly Father makes us have patience, to wait and hold out until the last minute for the miracle to happen. We went to John and Jenifer's balay for our last try of the day. We were happy to find they were all home. The whole family went to church last week. It was the coolest thing to hear John testify to us that he had been so worried about not going to work on Sunday, but he took his family to church anyway, trusting everything would be all right. He then told us with tears in his eyes that on Monday he ended up making double what he normally makes in his sales (He is a defense teacher on the side) Not only that, but the WHOLE family accepted a baptismal date for December 29th. They are so bakod gid. On a side note, they've bought us our own cups, plates and silverware..just for us...Say what?! They're like family to us. We love them! Tapos we ran to our dinner appointment with President and Sister Dizon. She is the best cook ever! We ate Chicken Curry(Sister Schenk's favorite) Seriously so good. She told us she wasn't hungry and she sat down in front of us as we ate. I haven't quite mastered the eat slow thing like Sister Schenk. I think I'm just incapable of slowly eating. If you finish fast, they expect you to take more. As I was eating, Sister Dizon kept heaping rice and sudan onto my plate. I kept saying busog gid ako sister,(I'm so full), but she would just giggle and say kaon pa! ( Eat more!). When I kept insisting that I was full she looked at me and in english said I want to make you fat. I could barely walk home that night. I literally almost started crying hahah She wants to feed us every Tuesday. If I'm being 100% honest, I'm so scared to go back lol. On Wednesday we went to teach Angel. We also went over on Monday to bring her a gift for her 17th birthday. I have never seen someone unwrap a gift so carefully and then save the paper. She was so happy. It's a tough situation with her right now, because Angel knows the church is true and wants to be baptized, but her father won't allow it. He's fine with her going to church, and us coming over, just no baptism. Keep her in your prayers for us. We also went to a 2 yr old's birthday party. Here in the Philippines, birthday's are a big deal, and the members get really sad if we don't show up. We made our 5 minute appearance, and left with our tummies full of spaghetti, kanon, lumpia, pansit and mango cheese ice cream (weird no? it was oddly alright, not the best thing ever, but alright) Later that night we also had a lesson with Barbie who will get baptized on December 22. She's 10, and is the sweetest girl ever. We taught the Plan of Salvation to her, and her parents and It went really well. Thursday, we visited the Berdens again. The baby's foot looks SO much better, I wish I had a before and after picture. Then we went to the Francisco family. The mom and their three daughters are member's and one is on a mission in Japan. Their Father Tiy Ranato used to be a chain smoker and smoked 40 plus cigarettes a day, he is now down to 7. He wants to get baptized and be able to go through the temple when their daughter returns, but he first needs to overcome hisr addiction. Any suggestions on how to help someone stop smoking? He was really sad because we had to reset his baptismal date for January instead of December. That night we got a call from the Old Sagay Sisters saying that they were headed home from Bacolod on a bus and would need help, because Sister Hopkins was so weak. We took a tricycle there and back in the pouring rain. Early Friday morning we went to Old Sagay to go on exchanges so the sisters there could get some work done in their area. Sister Schenk went with Sister Dapena first, while I stayed with Sister Hopkins, who had just gotten out of the hospital, and then after lunch I went out, while Sis. Schenk stayed behind to help Sister Hopkins. Around 4 we went back to our own area and met up with Joy and JunJun. JunJun is our ward mission leader who returned from the Olangapo Philippines Mission and Joy should be getting her call any day so to prepare, she comes out with us all the time. She is the best. It's so nice because she will translate for me when I don't understand, so I don't miss anything. We headed over to Kabalawan, an area far out and super muddy. We taught Jeremy and the Canel Family. On our way out Joy was having a hard time walking because she had injured her foot in a motorcylce accident earlier that day, so I made her get on my back. 10 min into our hike back in the pitch dark night, my crocs got stuck in the mud, and I nearly fell in hahahah we all laughed so hard. The rest of the hike I was practically bare foot because every few steps they would get stuck and fly off again. Hopefully I don't get some kind of foot disease. Saturday, we did the same thing with the Old Sagay sisters. Only this time I went out working the whole time with Sister Dapena from 9 to 4. I was exhausted by the time we came back, mostly because the whole day Sister Dapena would look at me and force me to say and do a lot of things I didn't know how to say or do because I'm still learning the language haha it was good for me though. After that we had to get back to work in our area again. By the end of the day I was ready to collapse from working so hard. Sunday was Stake Conference. Barbie sang in the Choir and John, Jenifer, Syriene and Rogiene all came. President and Sister Sumagpao spoke. President got up and said, "I'm going to speak the language of the spirit, Hiligaynon" (President is in the same boat as all of us learning the language.)Those words had a huge impact for me. It really is so true though. Even though many know English, It's so important to fully learn the language because that's how the spirit is able to touch their hearts. It has been the best over here. I'm already dreading the day when Sister Schenk is no longer my companion. We work so hard and laugh so much! That's all for my week or at least all that I can remember haha. Love you! Halong! These last 2 pictures are from Sister Schenk's email that her mom shared with me. "Well, working with Sis Adams has been seriously the best. We've been working so hard, and each night when we come home, and pray, we both just collapse on the floor. Everyday we laugh so hard we cry. One day this week, we were on our way out, had locked the door, and the gate, and started walking. Sis Adams decided she needed to change her shoes, so she hurried and turned around, threw me her bag, and sprinted back to the house, climbed the gate, and was back to me in just a few seconds." " In other news, we have a pet goat named Steven. He is black with horns. Sister Adams adopted him after continually coming home to find him in front of our house. She is always outside petting him, and giving him Garlic Skyflakes, which are like saltines. But don't worry, he has his own bowl of water too. She came back in the other day and just started sneezing and sneezing, and said, "basi allergic ako sa steven, we might just have to eat him. " Hahaha I died. That night we actually were served goat for dinner, and I couldn't help but laughing so hard."
This week has seriously been so good. We saw so many miracles and so many funny things happened. On Monday I started out the week by falling into a sewer. Sister Schenk and I were on our way over to the church around 8 (so in my defense it was dark) to meet the Elders to go over to a FHE. We walked along the side of the street talking when all of a sudden I was falling. Sister Schenk saved my life by grabbing hold of my arm. My legs all the way up to my knees was covered in who knows what. We laughed so hard we were in tears. I got a good hosing down at the church before the Elders came. We ended up leaving the FHE late around 8:45 that was in the middle of nowhere. We walked to a main road hoping to flag someone down to catch a ride or we would have a very long night walk ahead of us. The Elders stood by the road for the next 5 min trying to stop someone while Sister Schenk and I stood back a ways talking to our best pal, Joy( A member in the Elders ward that is preparing to serve a mission) After sometime Elder Cabato out of the blue said, "Girls girls, we need girls" Then Elder Johnson said, "Yes show them you're girls!" We gave it a try and ran up to the road waving our arms as the next truck passed. Sure enough they stopped and let us all climb in the bed of the dirty truck, we laughed so hard. Being two white Americans is a blessing sometimes. On Tuesday we had the longest District Council EVER. Not sure how we survived. Wednesday we taught and taught and talked and talked to so many people. Later in the day we decided to head over to an area where we had previously met and talked with two women who said we could come back and share a message. The craziest part was that the day we had met them, we walked straight past them twice. Each time they told us we were pretty. The second time around we were speed walking on our way home because it was dark and we didn't want to be late for curfew. We got about 10 yards away from them when we both stopped, looked at each other, and with out words needed, we flipped back around to go talk to them. They were so kind and told us to come back. We were not exactly sure where either of these women lived so we stood and yelled "tagbalay" close to where we met and talked to them. We waited and continued to yell tagbalay. The timing of things was crazy because a few minutes later we saw her walking down the street toward us carrying a bag of groceries. She walked straight toward her door, waved us over and told us to come in. We were thinking, wow that was easy, we didn't even have to say anything. We went up stairs where we met her two daughters and husband. Let me tell ya, they are what people would call GOLDEN investigators. We got to know them and he told us he was a self defense teacher. That's when he told Sister Schenk to stand up so he could demonstrate. Before she could say anything he twisted her arm and put her into a headlock. I couldn't stop laughing! You should have seen the look on her face... So I couldn't resist telling him to do it again. The lesson was so good and like most, Filipinos they are the nicest people ever. We went back again on Saturday and just like before she made sure to have food for us only this time she had made us some tea. The word of wisdom isn't always something you want to bring up so early on. We ignored it until she insisted we have some. I was a little bit worried that it was gonna be the deal breaker. We explained the Word of Wisdom and to our surprise John said, "Oh I'll stop then" They amaze me. They also all came to church this Sunday on time and loved it. Thursday We taught and visited the Burden family. She is a single mother with cancer raising 10 children and two grandchildren and they live in a little Nipa hut. It's crazy to me how even when they are living the worst circumstances they put on a brave face and stay happy. The kids are crazy and cling to us when we have to leave. Today Noynoy bit Sister Schenk's dress and wouldn't let go while Bingbing was clinging on to my waist. We also performed surgery on their one year old. Her foot had been badly burned by a motorcycle, and they didn't have any money for band-aids, and medicine. We cleaned out the wound so it wouldn't get infected, and put some medicine and band-aids on it. That was the toughest baby I've ever seen. She didn't even wince. Also, Bingbing said something about my hair, and wanted to touch it, so without thinking I pulled out a strand and gave it to him. He proceeded to smell it and put it in his mouth. gotta love um. Friday was such a cool day. We traveled to Candiez, which is a 30 min ride on a bumpy, muddy, dirt road to a small village. We taught the cutest little kid named Eddie boy the Restoration. Earlier we had passed a group of men playing basketball and by the time we were passing a second time there were even more men and boys. We stopped and talked to a small group off to the side. More and more gathered some listening for a little bit and then returning to their game. We felt like missionaries of old standing in front of a crowd preaching. At the end Sister Schenk yelled now who wants eternal life and they all raised their hands. We no joke passed out 38 plus pamphlets! Later we returned to the city and taught Angel. Angel is the best. Out of everyone in her family she has shown the most interest from the very beginning. Last week she went to church for the first time and said she loved it and wanted to go back. We taught the Law of Chastity. We thought it was gonna be so awkward because her dad was listening in on the lesson. When we started talking about modesty he began to shake his head up and down agreeing with everything and teasing Angel as we taught. The best part is she accepted to be baptized for December 29! We love her so much. Saturday our whole day was insane. The other Sisters in Old Sagay went to the hospital in the middle of the night because Sister Hopkins was throwing up blood. Remind me to never get sick here. The Hospital was the scariest thing. We did a lot more finding this day. We are being so blessed. We found in total 52 new people this week.
Sunday was nami gid. It was fast and testimony meeting. The bishop called me up last week to bear my testimony so I was in the clear. Something a woman said that really stood out to me is that once we've received a witness from God that something is true we have a duty to share that testimony with everyone. After church we had a lesson with the cutest girl named Barbie. Her cousins are members and she comes with them every week. It was my first time extending a baptismal invitation. She right away smiled and said yes. We are finding so many prepared people. The work is really picking up here in Sagay. I love being a missionary. Palangga ta kamo! |
