It seems crazy I've only been here for a week and a couple days, because it seems so much longer than that! People keep telling me it will get faster! Being completely honest, I really am loving it! I love my district and zone we all get along so well and there is rarely a time where we are not laughing. :) In my zone there are 12 elders and 5 sisters including myself. We all sit with each other at breakfast, lunch, and dinner everyday. We all get along so well even when we're all so different. Some of the Elders remind me so much of my own brothers. I'm still deciding whether or not that's a good thing.....joke lang. I actually love it because I feel like I have a small piece of home. :) They say so many funny and stupid things that I've decided to get a little notebook to write them down haha some quotes from the Elders I can remember off the top of my head: -"If you look once you're a man, but if you look twice you're not a missionary" -"Are you two siblings or are you just flirting" -"On a scale from 1 to saksi (saksi means witness in Hiligaynon) how good do I look right now" I feel like I'm starting to get the language more, but I've been pretty stressed about it, I need to have more patience with myself because it literally has only been one week. I know with faith, time and trust in the Lord it will come....even though right now I feel that will never happen ;) haha. Our lessons have been going better now that I know some words. I found out that after my zone leaves for the Philippines the MTC will be preparing for around 200 new missionaries going to the Philippines (adding 20 new missionaries to each mission) The Gospel is spreading like crazy there! "The Philippines are going to be the means of converting not only Asia but the whole world! They have been prepared and are so ready to hear the gospel!" I feel so humbled and blessed to be apart of that in some very small way of pushing that effort forward! On Tuesday night we all had the opportunity to listen to Elder and Sister Christofferson plus sing for them in the Choir, which was cool because we were singing the First Vision. He talked about President Russell M Nelson's conference talk on Personal Revelation and his own thoughts. I'd challenge you all to go back and try to read it because it is so good! My favorite quote from the talk was, "Our Heavenly Father has so much he wants to tell us and reveal to us, He gives that freely but we have to seek after it" Palangga ta kamo! Matuod ang ebanghelo! Miss you all so much and thanks for all the emails! I love hearing from all of you! Love you all so so so so so so so much! * asked her to tell me more about her companion Sister Wilde and this is what she said. I really do love her, she is from Dallas, Texas and has two younger sisters. We found out that we were born three days apart in the McKay Dee Hospital! So crazy! It's no coincidence that we are companions;) lol she knows how to deal with my stupidity, like the other day when I locked all of our stuff in our room. Oh funny story time, me and Sister Wilde for service day had to clean the hair out of the shower drains. It was a complete joke because I was like the man in that Youtube video you showed me where he couldn't stop gagging. I just couldn't stop and Sister Wilde was dying laughing, and everyone walking by was like what in the world is going on. I'm sure the echoes of the showers didn't help. I seriously almost threw up a couple times! I guess they are just preparing me for the Philippines. *I asked her how her leading the music gig is going :).....Umm so in the Philippines the person that leads, sings the first line all alone, and then says handacanta which means ready sing. My district finds it hilarious when I do it, probably because I hate it so much. *I asked her what Joke lang means? Joke lang means just kidding (It literally means just a joke) *What sport do you play when they let you go exercise each day? I play basketball with whoever is playing lightning or volleyball with whoever is playing. You don't have to stay with your companion to exercise. I look forward to exercise time everyday! *Has waking up so early been hard? Waking up is actually so easy! I'm surprised I haven't had a hard time. Blessings!

WHAT HAVE I DONE.....joke lang joke lang
The first day was crazy and a bit overwhelming, but it's all good now. We jumped right into everything. My companion and I already taught our investigator for the first time pretty much not knowing any Hiligaynon, I couldn't help but laugh because we had no clue what we were saying. With that being said the MTC really is such an amazing place. It's awesome to know we are all united in the same purpose, and with that comes a really special spirit. I'll tell you what the Lord really has a sense of humor because I've been called as the music coordinator....The funniest part about it is that the last time (and only time) I had to lead the music in sacrament meeting I promised myself I'd never do it again haha jokes on me ;) My companion's name is Sister Wilde. We've already gotten to know each other really well because it's just me and her in a huge room. The other three sister in our batch room right next door. One thing that I really loved this week was a video we watched from Elder Holland. We need to be our first conversion before we expect those we teach to be converted. "If we want our investigators to pray more, we need to pray more sincerely. If we want them to have faith in Jesus Christ, we need to more fully have complete trust in our Savior. I think that's something important for us all conversion isn't just something that we reach and then we're done. It's an on going process of having faith in Jesus Christ and his Atonement and taking action. I'm always on a spiritual high here;) I feel like I'm slowly being able to get the hang of things and I'm starting to enjoy it more! I love you all so much! Palangga ta kamo! and miss you like crazy (Like more than you will ever know) Hope you all have a great week! Halong! Love, Sister Adams -A picture of me and Sister Wilde with Elder Donahue photo bombing in the back -We went to the temple this morning at 6 apparently that's the time our batch goes every P-day:) yay to waking up even earlier then we have to. Our family! It is always so hard saying goodbye! We love Emily so much and will miss her terribly, but we are so grateful for her desire to serve her Heavenly Father's children, and to share the Gospel! I was so happy I caught this cute kissing moment from Em's dad and brother. This is how Eric found Gracee when he checked on her at bedtime. She had put Em's picture where she would have been sleeping. :)
More pictures to come....... Here are some. The Johnson's helped us get the Woodland Hill's Community Center for the luncheon. It was so nice! Café Rio type Salads, and lots of other salads and goodies were there. We are so grateful for the love and support of our awesome family and friends. We love them so much!
