Maayong Hapon! I always start the same way, but this week was great too. My favorite part of the week was getting to teach Andres. His entire family are members but he has just never been quite ready for the gospel until now. Right now he has such a desire to change and become a better father. It's cool to see the whole family become stronger because of his change of heart. He has a baptismal date for March 23. To be honest this week went by so fast, and I can't remember much of what happened. But let me tell you what Sunday was a struggle. It started out well though. We had church and Andres and his entire family continue to come together. They are the best. After we headed out to work. It was so weird because every person we went to teach, they just wanted to feed us instead. No joke, we had 3 meals in between lunch and Dinner and we felt bad saying no after they insisted. By the 3rd meal I felt so sick and to make it all the worse he came out with Valenciana (yellow sticky rice that they mix in all of their left over food, so you never know what your eating) Palagpat gid. He left to go get drinks so I had a few minutes to figure out what to do, Sister Sales can't stand it either so she wouldn't eat it, there was no place to throw it and I definitely couldn't eat it or I might throw up. I got so desperate I took the plate and dumped my sticky rice into the front pocket of my bag. Sister Sales lost it, she couldn't stop laughing even after he came back in. So just so you all know I'll be spending some of my p-day cleaning out my stinky bag haha. I love this work. I love being a missionary. Love you all. Halong pirme. Sister Adams Some of the sweet kids from a family that they are teaching. Em loves them of course! She told me their names, but she told me as we were talking on messenger, and with all of the excitement, I forgot. This was our first time since the announcement that missionaries could call. It was so much fun to see this beautiful face, and to hear her speak the language with her companion and the people in the house. She is so happy! the sweet people whose house she is in are members. They brought her pineapple juice while we talked. A strange looking apple and some chips. I can't remember what she called them. Sweetest people!

HELLLOo This week was full of a whole lot of finding and a whole lot of teaching. Sister Sales and I work great together. We keep each other motivated to work hard and every night we come home exhausted in a good way. I don't know why, but for the past couple weeks I've had to sacrifice eating really gross food just for the chance to teach someone. Last week Sister Ellis and I had a guy give us balut as a gift and then wait for us to eat it. We decided to choke it down in order to have an opportunity to teach. Lucky enough for me I threw the baby chick as he watched Sister Ellis, so it was just the egg left....Sister Ellis may or may not still be a little salty I didn't have to eat the whole thing. Then on Tuesday Sister Sales and I stopped to talk to two brothers named Joel and Joepart. As we talked I realized Joepart had a big bag of uncooked eels. When they found out that I had never tried it (bad mistake) they wanted us to wait so they could cook it for us. They agreed that while it cooked we could teach them. It's crazy the things we'll do just to teach someone....The eel was so disgusting. Wednesday we went to Cavan. It's an area we have to travel by boat to get to or it's a very very long walk. We spent the whole day seriously going from house to house teaching because everyone there is so receptive and wants to listen to our message. It's awesome. The rest of the week Sister Sales and I tried to talk to most everyone we passed and now have about 34 new people to teach! We are excited to just keep working, and trying to build this area up. Let me tell you what, I love Sister Sales! This is her second transfer, and she didn't get to work much her first transfer. She has such a passion, and excitement for missionary work. To her, even the most simple and small things are miracles in her eyes. The little things we do day in and day out, had become just the daily routine and a little dull to me, but she's helped me to recognize those seemingly insignificant things truly are miracles.
It made me think of how many everyday miracles we sometimes fail to recognize because we aren't looking. If we really look back on our day we will see God's hand working in every aspect of our lives. Appreciate the little things. Love you all pirme! Halong pirme! Sister Adams Kamusta sa inyo tanan Well this week was another crazy week. As in. I feel like I say that every week, but it just continues to get crazier. We had so much fun this week staying with the Old Sagay sisters, because we have no house to stay in. We started out the week looking for a house in Sagay. President told us that if we could find a house, the sisters could stay in Sagay. For the next full two days we looked all day. We were so exhausted, but wee found one that we think might work...tani. Because we were in the sun all day, I got so sunburned, as in my whole face was bright red! I laughed so hard as people kept telling me, "Sister, guba sa imo nga gwapa" (Sister, your beauty is broken). Saturday night I found out I would be transferring, so Sunday was filled with the saddest goodbyes. I will miss Sister Ellis, and Sagay so much! It breaks my heart I will miss Ramon's baptism. My last day I went to tell him I was leaving, and give him a note and some pictures. I thought I could hold it together, but I lost it has soon as I saw the tears in his eyes. I will be follow up training in Pulupandan. Pulupandan is a cute little beach town right by the baybay (ocean). My companion is Sister Sales. She is from Isabella, Philippines and is seriously so strong, she's only been a convert for two years and is now out on a mission....say what?! I'm excited for this new start. I know Heavenly Father has a perfect plan for all of us! Sorry I don't have much time, but I love and miss you all! Sister Adams A few more fun things I learned from Sister Ellis letter. Haha, and some fun pics. :) "In case you guys need a good laugh just read this next story. On Thursday Sister Adams and I decided to go talk to a group of people on the side of the road. Next thing we know , they are offering us some balut. (I am not a fan of that stuff). Well, because we didn't want to offend them we knew we had to eat it! Nasty. So I just went for it eating the whole baby duck and all. Well while everyone was watching me eat (and almost throw up) Sister Adams got all sneaky, scooped out the baby duck from her egg, and fed it to a dog. So she didn't even have to eat it. Lucky her!"
Hey hey hey It's been another crazy week as in so crazy. Wednesday we had a mission wide deep cleaning day (my favorite thing in the world...not). We spent the whole day scrubbing, dusting and mopping. I'm pretty sure our house is the most disgusting sister house in the whole mission, so I wasn't too excited. Sister Ellis on the other hand acted like it was Christmas morning. Our lessons this week were Amazing. Sister Ellis and I teach and work so well together. I love her. On Thursday we taught Ramon all about Baptism. He has a Baptismal date for Feb 22 and is so excited. He continues to come to church and loves it. We also went to Angels. We hadn't gone over in nearly two weeks. The last time we had visited we challenged her to pray about a specific question she had, then read the Book of Mormon and see if it could answer that question. We wanted to see where she was at so we straight up asked if she believes The Church of Jesus Christ is true. With tears in her eyes she said, "Yes I know it's true." The Book of Mormon had answered one of her prayers. Now She has read all the way to 1 Nephi chapter 5. She loves telling us all about what she has read when we come. The Book of Mormon is such a powerful conversion tool. The struggle is, her dad won't even let her come to church now. Hopefully with time, his heart will soften. On Sunday John received the Aaronic Priesthood and their family showed up to Sacrament meeting before anyone else. Which is pretty impressive because filipinos have a hard time making it to things on time. I've loved being able to continue to see them grow. They're my little miracle. As of a couple days ago we are now living in Old Sagay with the other Sisters...so that deep cleaning day that I dreaded so much, went completely to waste. To make a long story short (please don't panic mom) Friday night, around 10:00 two mga lalaki (men) jumped our gates and tried to break into our house. President was so concerned that within 48 hours we moved to and now live in Old Sagay. Yesterday the AP's as well as some other office elders showed up at our house and we moved everything out. As in everything! I have to say it was pretty impressive, because we were able to fit two beds, two mattresses, a fridge, washer, three fans, four chairs, a microwave, two desks, as well as all of our suitcases and much more all onto one truck. This made it so we only had to take one trip up here to Old Sagay. For now, we will be staying here, but still working in Sagay until we find out more and President makes a decision on what will happen. Haha but don't worry we're all good and everything is great. I asked if the Old Sagay sisters house was better than hers, and she said, "Any house is nicer than ours, but the funny part is, I'm actually a little homesick for our house." I asked if she was sad about leaving the goat she feeds. She said, "yep I was sad to leave Steven and our toko (lizard) named Alfred who poops all over our sink." Palangga ta kamo!
