MERRY CHRISTMAS! Wow it was a great week and a great Christmas! We thought that there would be a typhoon Christmas Eve and Christmas Day but we got a Christmas miracle instead, it just rained. (Thank you for the prayers!) We spent the day walking around in the rain giving out little gift baggies, and sharing a sweet Christmas message about our Savior. We also sang Christmas songs to recent converts and people we are teaching. (Tonight she sang the songs to us that she sang to them in Ilongo, Let There Be Peace on Earth, and Silent Night) I'm so lucky to have gotten to spend two Christmas's in the Philippines when I was only planning on one;) In the mission field, I have truly been able to focus on the Savior at Christmastime. It was a special day knowing we were doing exactly what Jesus Christ himself would be doing if he were here. PICTURES FROM THE BACOLOD 2nd WARD CHRISTMAS PARTY. This week as we were teaching Juvie and Dodoy. Juvie told us she felt like she wasn't ready yet for baptism. Dodoy is as excited as ever and passed his baptismal interview. He is hoping soon after his baptism that he can baptize Juvie. She is excited for that, but just wants a little more time. I'm still amazed at how much Dodoy has changed as he has accepted the gospel of Jesus Christ. Christ's Atonement is real! It can change us to the point that our desires and actions are like King Benjamin's people. We lose all desire to do evil, but to do good continually. Byebye. Halong gid kamo pirme! Dodoy and Juvie.
(The De Guzman's sent me this photo Sunday. They fed Sister Adams and Clark. Brother De Guzman also sent this sweet message). "Were so grateful for sister adams, she is doing so well. Were so confident that your family is so much proud of her. She is finishing her mission in a very enthusiastic and anxious on her effort. Were trying so hard to fellowship their recent converts. Esp we just arrived here last july. Again thank u karin and to your family For raising a wonderful daughter and now serving our Lord. My wife and i were so grateful for their efforts and self less acts. Thank you again." (I love these people!)
